How Audiense Action Works

Learn how Audiense Action transforms consumer behavioral data into actionable audience insights and campaign strategies using its five-step workflow.

Overview

Follow this guide to learn how Audiense Action generates audience segments, insights, and marketing recommendations using its five-step process.

Audiense Action is designed to help marketers move quickly from audience research to campaign execution. By combining real behavioral data with AI-powered analysis, the platform automatically surfaces high-value personas and provides ready-to-use campaign toolkits in minutes.

The Five-Step Workflow

Every project in Audiense Action follows the same five-step process:

  • WHO: Define your audience
  • SEE: View the top audience segments
  • DELVE : Explore detailed insights for each segment
  • GET: Receive campaign strategies and recommendations
  • ACT: Execute campaigns and share insights

WHO – Define Your Audience:

The first step is telling Audiense Action who you want to research. You can define audiences using several input methods depending on your goals and available data.

Available Input Methods:
By Brand:

Analyze audiences based on engagement with over 2,000 pre-qualified brands. This option is useful for understanding who interacts with specific brands and how those audiences behave.

You can apply filters such as:

  • Geography (including radius targeting in miles)
  • Age
  • Gender

If a brand is not currently available, you can request that it be added, typically within 24–48 hours for social engagement data.

By Interests:
Create custom audience profiles by combining multiple interests. This is helpful when researching lifestyle groups, behaviors, or passion-based audiences.

Describe it (AI-Powered Input):
Use natural language to describe your desired audience. For example, “Young people in Europe interested in Air Jordan”. Audiense Action will automatically detect relevant brands, apply appropriate filters, and build the audience definition. You can further refine results by:

  • Asking follow-up questions
  • Manually removing specific behaviors

Store Visits (Store Insights):
Analyze physical store visitors using mobility data for over 6,500 brands in the United States. With Store Visits projects, you can:

  • View visitor segments by store location
  • Compare multiple stores side by side
  • Explore audience overlaps between locations

SEE – View Top Segments:

After generating a report, Audiense Action automatically surfaces the top 8 most relevant audience segments. These segments are selected based on the size of audience overlap, the strength of behavioral affinity and strategic diversity across segment themes. Each segment represents a distinct persona built from real engagement and behavioral data.

DELVE – Explore Each Segment:

Click into any segment to view detailed insights that explain who that audience is and what motivates them. Each segment includes psychographic profiles, behavioral attributes, core values, and interests and brand affinities This step helps you understand why the audience behaves the way it does and which messaging resonates most

GET – Receive Marketing Recommendations:

For each segment, Audiense Action generates a complete campaign toolkit designed for immediate use.

Strategy and Messaging:

You’ll receive guidance on overall positioning and creative direction based on emotional triggers that influence decisions.

Influencers and Brand Affinities:

Each segment includes up to 20 influencers with handles and follower counts and up to 20 brand affinities. All based on actual engagement data.
