What’s the minimum audience size I need to create a useful report?
While you are technically allowed to create a report with smaller audiences, the results you get will depend heavily on the size of that audience.
-
In theory: you needs at least 300 members per interest for it to appear in your report.
-
In practice: If your audience is small, the matching will only work for interests that make up a large percentage of your audience.
For example: Audience of 1,000 members → Only interests representing more than 30% of the audience (300+ members) will appear. This typically results in broad, generic interests. -
Smaller audiences will not capture niche behaviors or specific topics, they simply won’t meet the matching threshold.
Our recommendation for reporting
-
Minimum for relevant matches: Target at least 10,000–15,000 members.
-
Best for in-depth, high-quality reports: Target 50,000+ members
Summary table
