# What's the difference between using an AI tool + PDF vs. the MCP?

If you're using AI to work with your Audiense report data, **the best way to do it is through our MCPs,** not neceserally by uploading a PDF to an AI tool. Why? 

While uploading a report PDF to an AI tool can seem like a quick workaround, it comes with significant downsides:
