What's the difference between using an AI tool + PDF vs. the MCP?

If you're using AI to work with your Audiense report data, the best way to do it is through our MCPs, not neceserally by uploading a PDF to an AI tool. Why?

While uploading a report PDF to an AI tool can seem like a quick workaround, it comes with significant downsides:

  • It misses a lot of data: PDFs are summaries, not full reports. Key insights may be excluded or too vague for AI to interpret properly.

  • It’s manual and repetitive. You need to download the report, upload it then adjust the prompt each time.

  • It's prone to mistakes. It can misunderstand how Audiense reports are structured or misread layout/formats.

  • It puts the burden on you. You have to insert variables like report name, date ranges, or segment filters by hand.

Audiense’s MCPs were built specifically to help you get more out of your data, with less effort and better results.

Here’s what makes it better:

  • No downloading or uploading: The AI connects directly to your report data.

  • Smarter answers: Because it understands the structure of your report, the AI can give more accurate and context-aware responses.

  • Deeper insights: Go beyond what’s shown in the UI or PDF with comparisons, summaries, trends, and more.

  • Fast, repeatable workflows: Use our pre-built prompts and customize them in seconds.

  • Future-proof: MCPs will be supported by more AI tools soon, making it even easier to use wherever you work.
