Demand Score Settings

Demand Score is a custom metric designed to help you better understand how relevant an entity is across specific markets and channels. Unlike raw metrics like follower count, subscriber count, or search volume alone, the Demand Score uses a weighted system that reflects both factual data and user-driven insights.

As a reminder: Entities are scored on a scale from 0 to 100, depending on how significant they are in the selected markets and across prioritized channels. This helps surface entities that are not only popular but also relevant to your specific needs or audience focus.

Because popularity can vary depending on the time frame or use case, the Demand Score is intentionally user-centric and use-case-centric. You have control: by adjusting channel priorities in the settings, you can influence how entities are ranked to better reflect your strategic focus.

How Does Channel Prioritization Work?

Channel prioritization allows you to customize the weighting of different channels according to your specific interests or strategic focus. By adjusting these settings, you influence how the Demand Score is calculated, ensuring that the resulting entity rankings align with your priorities.

For example, if your primary interest lies in social media engagement, you can assign higher weightings to platforms like Twitter or Instagram. Conversely, if search engine visibility is more critical for your objectives, you can prioritize channels like Google Search.
