# 2.3.3 Advanced Report Options - Number of Clusters

Affinio automatically calculates the natural division of your audience into separate clusters based on interests and affinities. The number of clusters we recommend is based on the overall size of the audience, but you can edit the suggested number of clusters between 1-20.\* A lower number of segments (1-6) provides a higher-level segmentation of an audience; whereas a higher number (15-20) digs deep into niche segments within an audience.
