# 1.8.4 FAQ: Segment a Cluster

**Q: Why when I segment a cluster and add additional filters is my audience size significantly smaller than the requested look-a-like number? (E.g. Selected “up to 100,000” and 20,000 interest-based look-a-likes were found.)**

Additional filters are applied after the look-a-like list has been generated, so audience sizes may be significantly smaller than the requested look-a-like number. Therefore, although a user may have selected “up to 100,000” only 20,000 interest-based lookalikes may be found that actually match the additional filter criteria.
