Step 1:
Download and Install the Claude Desktop App (optional upgrade to Claude Pro)

Visit the Official Claude Website:
- Open your preferred web browser and go to the official Claude website https://claude.ai/download to download the app.

Choose the macOS Version:
- Once on the download page, look for the macOS version of the Claude Desktop app.
- Click on the Download for macOS button to begin the download.

Locate the Downloaded File:
- After the download is complete, go to your Downloads folder (or wherever your browser saves files) and find the Claude Desktop app installer file (Claude.dmg).
Install the Claude Desktop App
1. Launch the Installer:
- Double-click the downloaded Claude Desktop app installer file to open it.
2. Follow the Installation Instructions:
- The installer will launch with an on-screen guide. You can accept the default installation settings by clicking Continue and then install.
- During installation, you may be prompted to enter your Mac's administrator password to authorize the process.
3. Complete Installation:
- Once installation is complete, you’ll see a confirmation message indicating that the Claude Desktop app has been successfully installed on your Mac.
- You can now find Claude in your Applications folder or search for it via Spotlight + add it to your Doc.
Upgrade to the Claude Paid Version (Optional, but Recommended)
While the free version of Claude is available, Claude Pro unlocks premium features for a better experience. To upgrade:

Launch the Claude Desktop App:
- After installation, open Claude from the Applications folder or from the Dock.

Sign Up or Log In:
- If you are a first-time user, create a Claude account, or log in if you already have one.

Step 2:
Setting Up and Connecting Tweet Binder API to Claude
This process typically takes less than five minutes and requires no technical knowledge beyond basic navigation of your Mac’s interface. The installer automatically handles all the complex configuration tasks that would otherwise require command-line expertise.
Obtain API Credentials:
For Audiense Insights Unlimited Plans
- Before proceeding, ensure that you have Tweet Binder API credentials. These are necessary for connecting Claude to the Audiense API.
- API Keys include 2 codes: (1) Client ID and (2) Client Secret
- Speak to your Account Manager or CSM to obtain these, alternatively contact help@audiense.com
Download and Install Node.js:
- Open your web browser and go to the official Node.js website.
- On the homepage, you may see two download versions. Click on the button labeled “LTS” (Long Term Support). This version is more stable and recommended for most users
- The website will automatically detect your macOS and suggest the appropriate download. Click on
“macOS Installer” to download the.pkg
file. - Once the file is downloaded, locate and double-click the
.pkg
file to begin installation.
Follow the Installation Instructions:
- The installer will guide you through the process. You can generally accept all the default settings by clicking Continue and then Install.
- During installation, you may be prompted to enter your Mac password to authorize the installation.
Finish Installation:
- After installation is complete, you'll see a confirmation screen indicating that Node.js is successfully installed on your Mac
Verify Installation of Node.js: Open Terminal:

After installing Node.js, it’s important to verify that everything is working correctly. While this does require opening Terminal (which might be unfamiliar to non-technical users), the process involves just a simple command
- Open Terminal (you can find it by searching for “Terminal” in Spotlight, which you access by pressing Command+Space bar).
Check Node.js Installation:
- Type
node -v
and press Enter. This will display the installed version of Node.js. Make sure you leave a space between the word node and –v -
On a Mac keyboard, the minus sign (–) used in the
-v
command is typically the regular hyphen key, located directly to the right of the 0 (zero) key on the top row of the keyboard. You do not need to press any additional modifier key to get the minus symbol. Just press the key as is.
Enter Audiense MCP Code:
- Open Terminal on your Mac.
- Run the following command - Copy/Paste:
npx -y @smithery/cli install @AudienseCo/mcp-tweetbinder --client claude
- When prompted with

- Press Y for Yes (uppercase).
- Press n for No (lowercase).
Authenticate and connect your Account API codes:
- When prompted, enter the API token for your Tweet Binder account and any required information to authenticate your Tweet Binder API credentials.
Complete the Setup:
- Follow any additional instructions in Terminal to finalize the setup when connecting your Tweet Binder account API to Claude.

Open your Claude Desktop app
- Sign into Claude, if you haven't already
- Ensure you're logged into your Claude Pro account to access premium features (better experience).

Click on the hammer icon to see the tools that come with the Tweet Binder MCP Server:
To streamline your analysis, simply type your query into the chat. While there are no pre-set prompts yet, you can manually input your requests to interact with Tweet Binder through Claude AI.
- Click the upwards arrow and hit Allow for this chat
- You can ask Claude any questions about the report data in the chat

- Claude may ask for permission multiple times - just allow each request to continue the process smoothly.
Manual Chat Prompts:
Claude can retrieve TweetBinder / X data and analytics. The data includes:
- Tweet counts matching specific search queries
- Detailed tweet content including engagement metrics
- User data and activity patterns
- Hashtag performance and analytics
- Statistics on tweet reach, impact, and engagement
- Historical data analysis (going back in time)
- Real-time 7-day report data
It can help you create reports based on:
- Specific hashtags
- Keywords or phrases
- User mentions
- Combinations of search terms using operators (AND, OR, etc.)
- Time-bound data (within specific date ranges)
It can also retrieve aggregated analytics showing:
- Tweet volume over time
- Top contributors
- Most influential accounts
- Engagement metrics
- Content type breakdowns
- Reach and potential impact estimations
Examples you could use in your prompt:
- This could be a hashtag (like #technology or #AINews), a keyword, a username (like @username), or a combination of terms.
