How to detect the influencers in a report

Tweet Binder has developed a system that will help you to detect who the influencers in your report are. You just need to follow these steps:

  1. Create a Twitter report
  2. Go to the TWEETS tab
  3. Click on the “influencers” button
  4. Wait until the influencers are generated. Depending on the number of contributors in a report this process can take up to 5 minutes.

We consider that influencers are those people who influence a lot of people or that influence a lot without matter how many people. There are two metrics to detect influencers:

  • Influence percentile: A percentage that goes from 0% to 100% and shows how influential an account is in relation to Twitter’s average. If an account has a percentile of 90% it means that it influences more than 90% of the Twitter accounts.
  • Engagement score: Goes from A+ to F and shows if an account engages more or less than it is expected to. So, if an account has an engagement score of A+ it means that its engagement is way higher than expected.
