By uploading your own .csv list of Twitter IDs or handles, you get all of the insights about members, interests, and content you would from our other Twitter reports, but for a more customized audience. You can upload audience lists from exported from listening tools, or data from your CRM, transactional data or survey respondents. You have the option to analyze the users contained in the list, or the followers of the users contained in the list.

How to build your audience:
Once you've completed Steps 1 & 2 (Select Network and Report Type), Step 3 is to build the audience. This is where you decide how you want to analyze and segment the user list and upload the file. Twitter audiences are always clustered based on users' interest-patterns (i.e. the accounts they follow). Before the upload of the .csv file can begin, you must confirm that you've read the conditions in which the file must follow to allow the report to run properly.
Upload .csv and "Analyze and segment the users contained in this .csv":
Your report will analyze the Twitter IDs or handles contained in the CSV file. This analysis differs from a follower report (i.e. Network Graph) in that it analyzes the given list of users rather than the followers of a particular account. Your list must be formatted as a CSV with a single column of Twitter IDs or handles, and include a minimum of 250 users.* Accounts included in the uploaded .csv will be ignored if their account is private, they follow fewer than ten other users, or they follow more than 2000 other users.
Upload .csv and “Analyze and segment the followers of the users contained in this .csv”:
Your report will analyze the combined followers of the users contained in the list. This analysis is a great way to audit the extended audiences of influencers and other key segments. The combined followers of the users in the list must be greater than or equal to 500. Your list must be formatted as a CSV with a single column of Twitter IDs or handles.* Accounts included in the uploaded .csv will be ignored if their account is private, they follow fewer than ten other users, or they follow more than 2000 other users.
* NOTE: Although multiple columns can be included, we only consider the first one, so please position the @handle or Twitter ID column in the first position.
